The Paperclipping Community of Scrapbookers
June is rolling in with a full head of steam here in South Mississippi! It is hot, so we are spending lots of time in the pool and lots of time in the air conditioning creating and crafting. Beat the heat and stay indoors for a little while and create an entry, or three, for this month’s challenge!
Remember your layout / project only needs to fall into one of these categories (but can of course fall into multiple if you wish), and it is best if you talk us through some of your creative choices. This way we get to see how you have used your design skills to create your own personal masterpiece. This helps all our other members learn from your expertise, and will also help you understand more about the way you scrapbook - which of course helps with your future projects.
Challenge 1 – Diecut Paper Base: In this post, Noell recommends the My Mind’s Eye diecut patterned paper. She bought it for the front side, but fell in love with it because it has a beautiful patterned “B” side, completely solving her dilemma of how to deal with the odd shaped paper in her album. For this challenge, we want you to pull out a diecut sheet and actually USE it! Please create a layout that uses a diecut paper as the base.
Challenge 2 – Pinboard Flexible Template: I LOVE that the last few flexible templates have fallen during my months to post the challenge topics! Y’all know how much I love Noell’s flexible templates and this one does not disappoint! This template is a great way to include lots of photos or a list on a layout in an organized and cohesive way that also allows for a wonderfully fun and playful layout. For this challenge, create a layout using the Pinboard Flexible Template. Please explain why you choose to use this template to support your story and give us some insight into your design process.
*My first ever fully digital layout completely from scratch! LOVE this flexible template! Supplies: Paislee Press Chasing Fireflies Digital Kit, Scallops, stitch, heart - Crystal Wilkerson various template elements
Challenge 3 – Rambling Titles: In this tutorial, Noell gives tips to include a long title on your layout. We all know that this can be very challenging and Noell breaks it down into a simple process that allows you to design a long title that leads into your story. For this topic, create a layout with a long title that leads into your story and supports the tone of the layout. Please explain your design process and the decisions you made in formatting your title.
Challenge 4 – Scrapbook About Yourself: When was the last time you made a layout about yourself? As Cathy Zielske says, It is the story only you can tell. It is your story and it deserves to be told. Noell is a fantastic inspiration to us all when it comes to self-scrapping. In this post, she gave a list of 47 journaling prompts for YOU! Now you can’t use the excuse that you don’t know where to start. For this challenge, create a layout using one of the journaling prompts and scrapbook about you for a change.
Post your creations here (by replying to this discussion) before midnight (pacific time) June 30th. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and don't forget that you can enter up to three projects into the challenge!
Post your layouts to this thread using the photo attachment at the top instead of the attach file buttons below your comment box. It makes it easier for everyone to see your work without clicking on links

I 'm trying to be back to challenges, here is one of my take in Flexible Pinboard I think it's a great template to follow to do layouts that show something that was going on here I try to get all the sequence from Lucas being thought to do pick a boo to his follow up of doing it himself and not just that but saying the boo which was a great moment for us in his therapy session, moments like this show us how scrapbooking is powerful!

Hi, I'm new to The Crop Circle and this is my first challenge!
I decided to use the "Pinboard Flexible Template" to tell this story because I thought it would be a perfect way to display a bullet list. I like big titles so I used size to emphasize "thirty". I used the white @ symbol and word she to create a visual triangle with the white cirlcle on the lower left hand side. These elements help lead your eye through the layout. And last, I added the stickers below the picture to add more weight to the right side of the layout.
The cardstock I used was given to me so I'm not sure where that came from, and the patterned paper and stickers are from Memory Works' Simply Stories - Life Documented Kit.
Thanks so much for coordinating these challenges!

Your balance is perfect. In addition to all the things you said, I also love how your word strips provide balance, too, keeping that left side from being overly bright compared to the right side.
It's all great!
